L1 Extension filling with L2 AND L2 EAD - how long is the wait?

Hello All,

Details as below
1. Current L1, L2 expiring on Feb 9, 2020
2. Current EAD expired on Sep 9, 2019
3. EAD application in process - application date Jun 10 2019.
4. Lost job on Sep 9 2010
5. L1 extension, L2, EAD applied on 26th Oct 2010

I have given up hope on my previous EAD.

The new EAD is being processed by Texas Proessing Center which has a time line of taking 8-10 months for change in status.

So does that mean that L2 extension and hence EAD is going to take that long? I am worried that it going to take one year for me to get back to my job.

Unfortunately, you cannot predict the timeline here, it varies from case to case & you really cannot do anything except waiting for it to be approved.

Hello,

I am in similar situation.

1. L1/L2 expires on Jan 03/2020.
2. The Expiry date of EAD based on initial L2 was Oct 15, 2019.
3. Applied for new EAD with earlier L2 Visa on July 16th, 2019 hoping to get it Oct 15, 2019 so that I could continue to work.
4. Still waiting for that EAD approval. Raised SR after 90 days highlighting job termination and financial loss. The expedite process and the SR was rejected on Oct 18, 2019.
5. New L1/L2 + EAD filed on Nov 7th, 2019 under Premium Processing.
6. Now again waiting period.
7. Not sure when I will be able to get on to my work again, not sure if I will be able to to hold on to the position / job.
