L1B Ext and New H1B at the same time

Hi,

I am currently working on company A on L1B expiring on 01-Oct-2010.

1. Company A is planning to apply for ext with new I94
2. I am planning to apply new H1 B with company B with COS

Do they have any impact to each other as both are new I94 processing? Should I go with consulate processing for new H1B ?

They don't have any impacts. However, your status will change as per the last received I-94. If the last received I-94 is from the H1B COS, then your status changes to H1B effective that date and you can no longer work for the L1 employer and vice versa. So plan accordingly.
