Can I walk in anytime and request them for my current Visa status ?

Will there be no questions from them on the reasons why I am asking these details ?

Can I explain the real situation to them?

Will the database be updated immediately or will it take a while to reflect my current status?

My H1B is under processing and expecting petition in 2months time after 3 more months(i.e. 5 months) on 1st octo I can travel. But now same employer is filing my L1B and want me to travel in next 1.5 months. Will the L1B visa processing go throught as H1B is also getting processed from same employer?
