L1B Green card

Hi,
I am working in L1B with employer A, My company is not ready to file green card,I have only 2 years remaining out of 5 years, I am planning to file green card now with other consultancy/Attorney and planning to file h1b with employer B in coming April 2020. Can I do it without any approval or support from my current employer A.
