  • L1B Resignation- Is it legal?

Am currently on L1B and I plan to resign in US. Is it legal to do so provided I have valid status after resignation?

Am I required to go back to my country and resign?

    Thanks in advance.

Legally, after resigning, after the last day of service, you shouldn't stay in US.
So, make sure that for e.g. if you are resigning on 1-May-2010 and giving the notice for 2 weeks, then after 2 weeks, you shouldn't be in USA after 2weeks on the same L1b.
