Hi All,
I applied L1B 3 weeks back. US consulate general,Chennai told me that my visa is approved but i need to send them a new passport since my old passport is expiring in 9 months and having signature on a piece of paper under the lamination (It's a old practice of RPO's 6 to 7 years back) and issued 221(g) blue. Requesting to send a new passport (along with couple of docs returned to me by consulate general) thru VFS (since I'm having 1 year old kid?)
Now I got my new passport and about to send documents thru VFS.
Could any one update me from your experience in similar cases..
1) how long will US consulate Chennai will take to issue my visa and send passports back home?
2) will they issue visa for my wife and kid at the same time or will that can be delayed? (Means will they send passports in different courier on different day?)
Above questions are important for me to estimate my dates. Please help me thru your experience and knowledge.
