L1A visa approved and L2 with 221g yellow slip - Both passports kept by VO

Hi good morning,

Last week I had my L1A individual interview together with my wife for her L2 visa. I posted my interview here:

I asked already there my question, but the experiences section may not be the right section to post questions and doubts, so this is why I post the question here now.

This is the situation:

The first questions of the interview were asked to my wife:

- Did you study before in US?
- Yes
- Did you leave the US and the end of your program?
- Yes

Then he had some questions for me and again to my wife:

- Do you plan to work in US?
- I will apply for an EAD and if I get it I would like to work
- What kind of job would you like to do?
- Not sure yet. I am YYYY Master Engineering so something related to this

After that VO said that my visa is approved but my wife´s visa needs to go under Administrative Process which should not take more than 2 weeks. He kept both passports and said that his intention is to approve both visas but right now her visa needs to go under this AP.

This was last Friday and I have checked the status of both visas and both of them are in AP even if the VO said that my visa was approved.

Somebody could put some light on this? Is my first time for an L1 and I am confused with the whole situation.

This is happening now-a-days that the VO informing that the visa is approved & later it goes into Admin processing.

But don't worry, your visa is not denied either, they will do their own background verification & will send you your passport along with visa soon (unless, they won't find anything problematic in your profile).

Just for others in similar situation, no update on my case yet.

In case this helps other people from the forum. We both received our passports with the visas a couple of days ago!
