Travel question for L1 visa
Hello,
I have been issued an L1 visa recently, but due to company matters my travel plans could change hence would like to know the following ,
1) My visa was issued in Dec, and the employment start date on petition is in January, so what is the latest timeframe when I have to enter US, without the visa being voided.(Is it six months from issue date?)
2) Once I enter US and hand in my petition at port of entry, can I immediatly travel out of the country say in one weeks time, and still be in status? or Do I have to work for a minimum number of days/months for a pay stub to be generated and then leave?
Any answers would be appreciated or any links providing information for maintaining status in L1 visa would be helpful.
