L1-A - Received 221G Email

Hi All,

I applied for L-1A extension in Guadalajara, Mexico and was interviewed on 01/02/2020. I was told by the VO that my application was approved. VO stamped 2 of copies of petition, signed the copies and put a validity date upto 2023 and returned to me. VO told me that you will get your passport in 3-7 business days. However, today(07/01/2020), I received an email stating GDL 221G. There was a list of 28 questions to answer. The questions were similar to what we enter in DS-160. I have responded to the questions but my question is when the VO said your application is approved and the Stamped Petition was returned to me, why 221G was issues? Is this common? Any inputs will be appreciated.

Did you get any update already? I'm in the same situation, I was interviewed 01/27/2020 with my wife, we received the questions and there has been no updates since then.
