  • Help L2 visa expiring soon wanting to stay with family.

Hey so I’m currently on a L2 which is running out in March. My farthers company who is on a L1 said they won’t be able to file for a greencard before 8th March. So I was just wondering what other visa I can transfer to? F2 is possible but I’d have to leave the country or H1b but not sure how can I get someone to sponsor me? Please help as I really don’t want to leave my family and go back to England. Thank you so much.

F2 would be a quickest & safest way for you.

Applying for a fresh H1B is a long process, hard to find an sponsor & chances are also low in first attempt (considering multiple stages).

Thanks for the reply do you know the process for F1 what the current processing times are.

im planning to apply to a community college and I again a i 120 or the relevant document needed. I’ll possibly have a month before the visa runs out so if I file for the adjustment of status before my current L2 expires will I still be allowed to stay on the country to study thanks again.

Check on the F1 visa section of this site, someone could help you there.
