EAD renewal for L2 near petition expiration date

Hello.
Assuming that we have L1 blanket, L2 + EAD where EAD expiration date is the same as petition expiration date (PED).
What would be the correct way to renew EAD near petition expiration date so that L2 holder does not have to stop work relationship?
Is any of the two scenarios below valid?

Scenario #1
1. go offshore and extend L1 and L2 before the petition expiration date
2. come back to the USA
3. apply for EAD renewal
4. for L2 holder, continue working based on the existing EAD which expiration date is still in future
5. wait for the renewed EAD

Q1: Is existing EAD considered invalid when L2 gets extended?

1. apply for EAD renewal
2. go offshore and extend L1 and L2 before the petition expiration date
3. come back to the USA
4. for L2 holder, continue working based on the existing EAD which expiration date is still in future
5. wait for the renewed EAD

Q2: Is it possible that expiration date of the renewed EAD will be based off of the L2 extension and the new I94?
Q3: Should L2 holder apply for EAD renewal anew once L2 has been extended?
Q4: Can L2 holder file multiple EAD renewal applications at the same time (one before renewal and one after)?

The best way for that is to apply for your L1 extension within USA in premium before 3-4 months of PED.

Also, apply for renewal of L2 & L2-EAD at the same time, in single bunch. Hopefully everything will be renewed altogether, before PED.

No EAD will be expired on its own expiry date.

Q2: Is it possible that expiration date of the renewed EAD will be based off of the L2 extension and the new I94?

You might be asked to provide new I94 along with your EAD renewal application, otherwise EAD will have expiry date of current I94.

Q3: Should L2 holder apply for EAD renewal anew once L2 has been extended?

Either you can apply for L2 & EAD together or L2 first & EAD. Later one will take longer to get EAD renewed.

Q4: Can L2 holder file multiple EAD renewal applications at the same time (one before renewal and one after)?
