Is it Legal, for an L1A visa holder to work in a billable role at the client location in the United States?
I work for a service organization in India. When I checked on the L1A visa category to work on a project in the US, I was informed by my immigration team that L1A is a managerial role and in this visa individuals cannot work at the client location as a billed resource, LEGALLY. My company will have to pay me out of the pocket and cannot charge the customer for the work I perform. Is it really how it works?
Can my company legally deploy me at a client location and charge the client for the work that I do in the US?
Thank you in advance!
