L2 visa - Different surname on passport and marriage certificate

Hi, I am applying for L1B blanket visa and my wife marriage certificate has my surname though passport has her maiden name.
In all other docs and in my passport her maiden name is used. Let me know do I need to update marriage certificate to have her maiden name.

Its pretty generic scenario to change last name after marriage & USCIS understands that.

If she is intending to use her new name everywhere, Get the passport updated with her new name first, rest all documents can stay in her maiden name.
If she is not intending to change her name, then get the marriage certificate updated.

It would be better in long run to keep these documents up-to-date.
