  • L2 EAD outside normal processing times

    It has been 7 months since I have filed for the L2 EAD. USCIS website states 2-5 months processing time for the service center where I have submitted my case. I've submitted multiple inquiries however the response each time is 'We have had to perform additional review and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently in line for processing and adjudication' What can be the actual reason behind this and what can I do to get my EAD at the earliest?

    Hi there,
    I had a similar experience,
    22 Aug 2019 -Received Form I-797C Notice of Action (Receipt )
    6th of Jan 2019- Submit an Inquiry "case outside normal processing time" received the same response as you did
    End of Jan (cant remember the exact date) Contact USCIS (via Phone) she said there is a notice sent out and wait for another week or so;
    Approved EAD on the 7th of Feb 2020
    Hope this helps you

        Seems like USCIS is making ways to restrict dependents to work

          USCIS is just taking time. Make sure to submit the applications on the first day of eligibility - I made the mistake of considering processings times from 5 to 2 years back One of my applications at Vermont went just outside processing time however, another application at the Texas center was processed in 5 months.
