Hi,
I am about to apply for a change of status from J1 to L2? I have just looked to California processing time and that is very scarry.
However, I have heard that I do not have to wait until I get my L2 to apply for a work permit, but that I can apply for both at the same time. It seems that the processing time for work permit is a little less than for change of status? Can I receive the work permit before my L2? and in that case, can I start working while my L2 is still waiting to be processed.
