  • L2 working / VO question

    Good day all,

During your experience of L2 visa interview. When the VO asks if you are going to work in the USA. What should your answer be? Can you say yes or should we say no? Or do we say only when my EAD is approved?

    please advise. Thank you

Best answer is to tell the truth.

L2 visa holders are legally allowed to work after getting their EAD until it is valid. So no need to hide it, if you want to work. Even if you say "no I am not going to work", you can certainly change your mind after an year & start working.

So you can say that you may work in USA once EAD approves & whatever is permitted under the laws.
