Nunc Pro Tunc(NPT) after L1A Extension denial

Hello All,

My L1A first extension got denied and I-94 expired. As I can't leave the USA due to Coronavirus, my lawyer is filing L1A-Extension of stay(EOS) under Nunc Pro Tunc(NPT).

If they approve, Can I travel back to USA after stamping OR the Nunc Pro Tunc(NPT) is just to make my overstay as a lawful presence.

Hi,
Did they deny immediately ? My understanding is usually the extension filing decision takes ~ 8 months from receipt notice before they intimate the decision.
