    Hi,
My L1-B visa expires on June 26,2010.
My employer already filed the petition, but USCIS has asked for RFE.
I believe it will take another month or 2 to know to know the final decision.

My I-94 is valid till June 17, 2012.
Just in case, If my visa is rejected, can I work till June 2012 without leaving US?

How come you got new I-94 with extension still pending?

whatever, you can't work beyond L1B expiry.

I had travelled to India in Dec'09 and upon arrival in US Dec'09, at port of entry the immigration officer wrote the passport expiry date (2012) as I-94 end date, instead of visa expiry date (2010).

My petition was submitted a month ago by my company and it is in RFE today.

I read another thread in your website stating that I-94 date is what should be referred, visa is just required for entering US.

        Yes, of course.
Visa is just an entry permit. Once you enter, nobody cares about visa. I-94 is what matters.

          Visa is for entering.
After that, expiry date of I-94 or petition, whichever comes early, is important.

            Ok, Thanks.

One last question: How soon will I need to leave US from date of rejection notification?

If you I-94 has already expired, then you should leave immediately.
