  • L1B visa + furloughed + I-485 held in abeyance (retrogressed)

    Hello,
My L1 visa is set to max out soon, and my company is in a financial crisis due to the current crisis. I've worked with them for 9 years including 5 years in the US.
I'm worried about potential layoffs; we've already experienced furloughs and pay cuts this month.
I have a pending I-485 and had my interview in March but was hit by the EB3 retrogression (rest of the world)
If I get laid off or furloughed more am I allowed to look for another job?
It's such a stressful time for everybody, I appreciate any advice.

Yes, back in January, with advance parole.

Since you have your EAD & AP in hand, you can certainly stay in USA awaiting for AOS to happen & no need to worry about your L1 as well & furlough.

However I am not sure, if can you switch or search another job.
