L2 Student continue to study while extension I539 is pending

Hello,

I am on L1B visa and my daughter is on L2 and we are in USA since close to 3 years. Now our I-94 is expiring in July2020 and we have files for an extension I129/I539. My questions are:

1) Can my daughter enroll and attend university in US while her L2 extension is pending for approval? Will there be any problem in getting L2 extension or change of status to F1 if she goes to university while extension is pending?

2) Can She apply for change of status from L2 to F1 in parallel with extension I539?

Really appreciate if someone can share experience undergone similar situation.

Legally yes, but since you've already filed for L2 extension, I would request to wait for L2 extension to completed & then you file for her COS from L2 to F1.
