L2 EAD Extension!

I want to reach out and seek some help on my case. My L2 EAD is expiring in mid-October 2020, and my visa is valid till mid-January 2021. My spouse company is applying for an extension for L1 A visa in July 2020. I will be out of status in mid-October to work legally, and this will impact my work.

1. Can I apply for an EAD extension along with an L2 Visa extension?
2. Is it advisable to apply for an EAD extension for the remaining validity of the visa? (in my case 3 months)

Certainly & that way you'll get the response for your EAD faster. Try to submit L1 extension under premium processing.

You are right on time, best would be to apply for L1 extension, L2 extension & L2-EAD all together right now & under premium processing. That way most probably you'll get your EAD before end Oct. 2020.

Why it "should" be filed together?
You can file separately as well.
It is recommended to file together to get the response together.

You can file separately as well.

I think it makes a difference if you are filing through USCIS or embassy. The latter cannot issue you an EAD.
Anyways, my question is whether any extensions will be granted given the recent proclamation. A reddit post referencing official Tweet from the DoS says that no extensions will be granted to us.
Please let me know if anyone has any better insights. Our L1A + my L2 + EAD are expiring October 2020... Really hoping that we won't have to leave our jobs and the country.
