  • L1B : We approved your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker

    Hi

For a L1B petition, I checked my status on the Case Status Tool : https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do
What does the below response mean - in terms of next steps ?

"We approved your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number **** **** * and emailed you an approval notice."

Btw, I haven;t received any approval notice - but, I assume - it must have gone to my petitioner (my employee)

    Thanks!

Yes, the approval notice can be sent to you, employer or the attorney. Ask your employer or attorney if they received anything.

Usually it take from a week to 2 weeks to get the approval noticed delivered in mail.

        Hi,

Jugal , this is just petition approval. I still need to visit the consulate and get visa stamped. Libra_14 , please correct if I have understood it incorrectly.

As for when, this was applied in the month of April. And I hear there is a 90 days validity within which the petition has to be used.

        Thanks

No, there is no such limitation to get it stamped/used in 90 days.
