F1 to L2 Change of Status Timeline

Hello, my F1-OPT is expiring in Dec 2020. My wife is on L1-B expiring in Dec 2022. I want to change my status to L2. I have a few questions regarding the process.

1. Is it wise to hire a lawyer or the process is simple to petition by myself?
2. Can I file both EAD application (765) and change of status form (539) simultaneously?
3. My wife`s employer is based in Michigan. Where will my form be routed to? CSC or TSC?
4. With the current situation, if I file by August 1, what is the timeline I can expect to receive my L2 and EAD?
