  • LI individual approved extension visa interview

    Hi ppl,

    I LI individual Visa had expired in April,2010 and i got my approved I-797 extension done till Apr, 2012.

    Now i need to go to India for some personal work and would be appearing in chennai visa consulate for Visa stamping for the approved I-797 extension.

    What are the chances of getting visa stamp? What questions can i expect from VO? Is there any relevant documentation that i need to carry apart from DS-160 confirmation, I-797 and passport?

    Anybody who has experienced this ,please let me know.

    Thanks a ton.

    What are the chances of getting visa stamp?
    >>> Depends on the documents that you submit, whether your application goes into admin processing or not and whether your information is available on the PIMS database or not.

    What questions can i expect from VO?
    >>> There is NO standard set of questions. Google or check immihelp for the experience posted by others.

    Is there any relevant documentation that i need to carry apart from DS-160 confirmation, I-797 and passport?
    >>> Check this.

      Thanks Shervin for the quick response.

      However, i did not understand your first response. What do you mean by administrative processing? In my case my L1 extension petition was never called for RFE. I got approval in a month's time. What do you mean by PIMS database?

      I assume that the interview would be simple enough and expect to get visa stamped without any hassles.

        Good luck. RFE is for petition. Admin processing and PIMS are for visa. Search immihelp with key words like "Admin Process", "Administrative Process", "Admin Processing" & "PIMS" and you will find 100's of related posts.
