Can i travel On extension applied L1B Visa

HI,

I have a L1B visa which is getting expired on 30th September. My I94 is valid till OCT 15th. I have applied for the extension of the same. I am yet to receive the receipt for the same. I am thinking of travelling to Canada for a week for a holiday around 30th of June. Should there be any problem in this kind of a travel or any issues while travelling back to US? I ask this because ss per my company's Immigration desk my existing visa gets expired as soon as I apply for a new visa/extension and hence I am confused as to would there be any problem with this.

It is not advisable to travel when the extension is pending with USCIS. The extension of stay might get denied if you travel out of the country.

Thanks for the reply, But just so that I understand it better,

I am travelling Canada through Road and they dont issue a new I94 while returning back to US. Also my visa is expiring in September and I am planning to go to Canada in June end. Do you still think this can be an issue?

It should not be a problem if you don't hand over your I-94 when you leave the country. Upon return, you should use the same I-94.
