L1A Position change in same company

I am on L1A visa (Blanket approval) and I am in the process of discussion to change role within same company and under same visa category meaning in L1A only. Do I have to appear for visa interview again? Or its just simple process to inform USCIS and done? Thanks!

Depends on the change in role - can you explain a bit more on what change is being discussed?

Hi, we have one legal entity and under that there multiple entities. So I am holding business controller for one of the entity and now i am in discussion to move another entity within same legal entity on similar designation but will have different team reporting to me. Thanks

If the change in role constitutes a material change, then your employer must file an I-129 Amendment petition. There is no need to go back to the US Consulate.
