  • Need help about L1 and L2 Visas

    Hi,

Recently I had completed L1 Interview. After that Interviewer said to just fill up some questionnaire. I filled up the same there it self. They have given me one csae number to check the status of my application. They said it will take 2 weeks to process my application. I have checked my status on Friday. The status is showing as "Pending". When can I get the passport. Please suggest in this regard.

Your application is gone for administrative processing. Every case is different and no one can predict when the admin process will get completed. Search immihelp for key words like "Admin Processing" or "Administrative Processing" and you will find 100's of posts.

      same thing happened to me

April 14, VISA interview of my dependents. They questioned my eldest's birth certificate for being late registration. They asked my wife to fill-up some document. and they told her to wait for their call. (administrative processing)

June 14, They called up. They were saying that they've been trying to contact my wife (we did not recieve any call). My family went to embassy, only to be told what document to bring. Although my wife already brought all the supporting documents. Hospital records, insurance, family pictures. She was aksed to go back again on June 25. I thought the administrative processing has already started after april14. It seems that the filipino guy is not doing his job. he was boasting that he has piled of papers to process. I thought they already perform a background check.

June 25, 3rd visit. The guy keep on saying that maybe it's not my son.. etc etc.. (no respect) My wife filled-up another document.. taking an oath that everything are true and correct. tick the "Willing to go DNA" testing. If that's the case then, we should have undergone DNA testing from the very start and ignore the birth certificate. and all other the applicants must undergone so that it will prove that whoever dependents you are applying for is you son or daughter. they don't recognize the birth certificate.

THen that guy gave the documents to the consul. and She was told to wait for the call .. again.. and don't know for how long.

BTW, my company has already secured a G-28 form to have our US laywers go to embassy and inquire the status of our VISA application.

        You just have to wait.
        Nothing much you can do.
Search and forum and see how other cases did.

well, funny to think that when the time the VISA gets approved, my work assignment will end.
