    L1A visa interview in India

    Hello All,

My L1A individual was approved in Mar'20 with validity until May'23. I received hard copies of approval in May delayed due to lockdown in India. My queries are:

    1) Has anyone scheduled an appointment for visa interview after payment of visa fees? If yes, when / where did you get the dates? How soonest is the slot? My OFC was scheduled for this month but interview dates are only available in Feb'21.

    2) What is the concept of Emergency request? My employer in US has been following up on my joining and the start date of my employment has been shifted twice. Has anyone used this emergency request for interview?

    Please let me know.

As per the latest order from USA govt, embassies outside USA are not issuing new visas till Dec 31st 2020 - there is no emergency request for any visa.

Thanks for the reply. How would the Expedited Appointment Scheduling work in this case?

My US firm is ready to send out a letter with details on probable opportunity loss and financial loss due to delay in my joining. Would that suffice alongwith the approved L1-A petition letter for uploading on the site to request for an expedited interview slot?

      Thanks

Yes that's sufficient. But USCIS still hold the rights to accept that request or not.
