I have been a L1B holder from Dec 2005 till Dec 2008 and was in the US when I applied for an extension. My extension was granted in early 2009 and my visa category was changed from L1B to L1A(visa for executives). I received my extension petition in early 2009 as well, while I was in the United States.
I travelled back to India in Sep 2009 and was held back in India with some work till now (end of June 2010).
Now, I've decided to travel back to United States and am getting my L1A stamped in a couple of weeks. I have a query in this regard.
Is there a timeframe for visa stamping after receiving the petition. In my case, I received the petition in early 2009 and am going for stamping in July 2010 - is that a problem? If so, what are the remidiations?
