L1 B extension

Hi, I got my L1B approval in 2015 for 3 years and was in US for 2 years. Then I applied for extension and got the approval for 2 years. But I spent only 1 year in this approval in US. Can I apply for an extension again since my total stay is not completed for 5 years in US which is the max period? I was in my home country pay audacity mac

If I get a fresh passport after loosing the old one, can I still apply for L1 extension ??? I have my approved petition, I94 and copy of my visa stamp with me

If you are still working for the same employer, you are eligible to apply for the L-1B for the remaining 2 years. However, if you have been outside the US for at least 1 year, you are eligible for a new 5 years.

If you extend your existing petition (that increases the chances of approval & there is no ban) then you'll be eligible for the remaining time.
If you apply fresh petition, then you'll be eligible for 5 years.
