  • Regarding SSN

Friends Please help for below :

My company filed L1 Blanket for me and I have interview on 23rd july 2010.Please help in the below quesions.

1.I have SSN long back and now i forgot the SSN number and i couldnt find it at the end as my timeline was coming closer to fill DS 160.In that form i kept it as "Does not Apply". will it effect in my interview to grant visa? The same apply to my wife as she also have SSN but we couldnt find it out that number.

    2. My wife is currently working in a private firm and she resigned and serving her notice period. She will be out of services by the time we attend for interview . will it effect anyway to get her L2 visa?

    Thanks

    1. No issues.
    2. L2 is dependent visa. She need not work to get visa. If you're not working it's issue though.

      Thank you for the reply.

I missed something in point 2.

while filling up DS 160 i filled up for my wife as "not working".But she is currently serving her notice period. Will it effect my visa or my wife visa anyways?

      Thanks

In the future when you go to the US, visit the SSA office and they will tell you your number after verifying your documents. You should also apply for duplicate SS card then. The number will not change. This has no major implications on the Visa application.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
