  • L2 for My Baby

    Dear Members,

    Thanks for your support.

I got L1 18 months back and my wife got L2 1 year back and we are still in india didn't get the chance to go US.
Now my employer finds a good job for me and I am planning to fly soon.
I am applying for my Baby's(5 months old) visa L2.

Is it required to take the marriage album for baby's visa?
Is is must to have no objection letter when only one parent is going for interview? if yes please provide me sample no objection letter

Also let me know what could be the possible questions.

    Thanks in advance.

You will need birth certificate, not marriage album. This is to prove the relationship between you and your baby (not spouse).
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

        NOC not required.
They might ask for album or not. Most probably, no.

          Thanks for reply.

I have got the employment verification letter addressed to ebmassy saying that I am (principal applicant) still working with the same company ZZZ, I aslo asked my employer to get client letter. I am still waiting for their email and the appointment is getting nearer.

Is client letter must for L2?
I have a old client letter which was issue in 2008 at the time of L1 interview and I am not going to work for that client.

If in case I dont get the current client letter then can i show the old client letter issued in 2008?

          Whats your thoughts on this?

See, L1 is intra-company transfer. There is no client here.

So don't worry about any such letter.

Client letter is not mandatory for a L2 stamping. The proof that L1 is on valid status and a letter from the employer should do.

Thanks to all for sharing your thoughts.

                Got the visa approved today!!!

Sad part is after reaching home we realized that the original I-797 is not returned by the VO.

I just sent an email to embassy and waiting for their response.

Do you guys have any idea how to get back the original I-797 from the hyderabad embassy?

                  They should return with passports.
                  Contact VFS help desk also.

Got the same reply from embassy

"If the I-797 approval letter has been retained at our office, it will be returned to the applicant along with the passport."

                    Thanks
