one of my friend was saying that you can not file because it takes atleast 5 years for the same and even if you file in Aug 2010 the whole procedure will take total of 5 years.Is it like that?Comment

There is a separate menu called "Greencard" where you can find a lot of information. Also, you can post your questions in that thread.
