L2 extension submitted but receipt notice not received yet

Hi - I am on L2 visa with my I94 expiring on 12/14. I submitted extension on 11/12, but acknowledgement receipt notice not received yet. And it might take a few more weeks. In that case, can I still continue to stay in USA beyond 12/14 even if I have not received receipt notice by then?

My understanding is that you are not allowed to stay in the US beyond the I-94 departure date. So in your case, that'd be 12/14
What is the I-94 date for your L1 spouse? I previously had a different I-94 date than my L1 spouse (his was extended to March 2021 whereas mine was the same as my visa stamp expiring in Aug 2020), I successfully extended my I-94 date by visiting the port of entry at the airport to be the same as my L1 spouse to extend my stay to March 2021.
