Hi, my spouse has L1 visa and I have L2 visa. I want to apply H1 in next year. She wants to change her visa status from L1 to H1b.

Can I work until my visa converted to H1b as I am on L2 visa?

You need EAD to work in L2 status.

2-3 months. You can apply anytime when you are in L2 status (Assuming your spouse remains in valid L1 status).
