Status For Applying a new USA Visa (B1/L1)

Hi All,

I was traveling from INDIA to Newark(USA) on L1 (Blanket) Visa from my company side. When i arrived at port CBP officer had asked few questions. These were general questions like
Where you are going? where you will stay? how long you you will stay? what you do there?

I was going to work with my company that was basically inter company transfer from india to usa.

I was going to Denver from Newark in Denver there was my company client but my company office was in Atlanta.

I had to go client side for some training and KT but they thought i am going to work with client.

I tried to explain them but he was not able to understand. He asked me why you don't have H1B visa.

And after a long discussion he decided that you travelled on wrong visa.

You should have H1B Visa but i had L1. He gave me two options:

1) your visa will remain as it is but your entry will be banned for next five years.
2) You withdraw your visa application and go to your country and ask your company to file a new visa and then come here anytime.

I opted option 2 and he cancelled my both visas (B1\B2 & L1) &wrote the following section 212(a)(7)(B)(i)(II) and came back to india but i came on USA govt. expense they arranged my return tickets.

So, my question is my status is still open? can i get back my both visa again?

If not how long i have to wait for this.

Please suggest. It would be great help for me.

Yes, your L1 petition is still valid, and you can go for visa.

For B1/B2 too, follow the same procedure as you did earlier to get it.

Please tell me it will not create any problem to get a new visa because
i came on US Govt expense.

Could u pls tell me how long l have to wait to reapply?
