L1 Individual to L1 Blanket

Hi ,

My L1-B (Individual) Visa is expiring on 29 August 2010. My company is filing L1-B (Blanket) for me now(since as per them extensions has yielded more rejections) .I will be travelling back to india for stamping and within a week as soon as I will get stamping done planning to travel back


I have couple of question , which potentially could be asked .


Why you applied for renewal of your visa and not extension from US?
Why you are applied for L1 Blanket , when your previous visa was Individual ?

Also does this category change will have any adverse affect ?

Please advice any help in this will be highly appreciated.

>>> I don't think these questions will be asked. What type of petition to be filed (L1 individual or L1 blanket or h1b) is completely the employer's decision. As an employee you have any say on that. So you can always say that is what your company applied for.

Also does this category change will have any adverse affect ?
