I am currently holding l1 visa and last year I got H1 approval.Can I switch job with other company with the H1 approval from my current employer?

Does affect my GC application from my current employer? Does the new company file GC under same category?

This is more over a question for H1 section. Not 100% sure, but you need to first switch from L1 to H1 with same employer, then you can switch job.

Certainly, your new company need to file another I140 for you, but your PD remain same.
