  • L1 tax question regarding 1099-MISC

    Hi,
I'm currently filling my tax return for 2020 and I noticed that I received a 1099-MISC for the sign-up bonus I received from my online broker. Is there a special way to report it or will it be automatically considered as income ? Don't want that to be an issue in case I want to fill for a GC in the future.
    Thanks

Yes, Income from Form 1099-MISC will be reported at Other income and Taxed on Line 8 of your Form 1040.
