My L1 A extension and my Wife’s L2 extension was filed in Sept 2020 and I got my approval on 15th June 2021. Status for my Wife has still not changed.
can we apply for her EAD extension right or do we need to wait until we receive her approval notice.

Yes you can and should do so asap because the processing times are getting longer. Make sure to attach a copy of the L2 extension receipt and your L1 approval notice.
Ideally you should have filed all 3 (L1 extension, L2 extension and L2 EAD extension) at the same time.

My time has finally come!! EAD received in hand today

Oct 18, 2020: I-539 and I-765 received by USCIS, together with premium L1 I-129 (which was approved within 2 weeks). Texas SC.
Apr 17, 2021: Biometrics notice received
May 6: Biometrics appointment for I-539 in Baltimore, MD ASC after a few unsuccessful early walk-in attempts. Online case status was then updated overnight to fingerprints applied
Aug 5: I-765 "New card is being produced"
Aug 6: I-539 and I-765 approved
Aug 9: I-765 "Card was mailed to me"
Aug 11 around 9pm: I-765 Card was mailed on 8/10, incl tracking number. Approval notices for I-539 and I-765 dated 8/5 were received same day.
Aug 12: I-765 card delivered

It has been an excruciating wait. I've been on unpaid leave from work since early March and am very excited to go back, hopefully tomorrow (depending on how fast HR turn things around). Did not raise any expedite requests, because after reading the criteria, I know I didn't really have a case for personal hardship.

Ditto, after almost exactly 11 months, my partner's L2 ordeal is over.

Sep 16th 2020 - I-539 and I-765 received
Feb 25th 2021 - Biometrics Appointment for I-539
Aug 11th 2021 - We ordered your new I-765 card
Aug 12th 2021 - Both I-539 and I-765 approved
Aug 16th 2021 - I-765 card mailed
Aug 17th 2021 - I-765 picked up by USPS and tracking number provided
Aug 18th 2021 - Card delivered

Now the battle starts to get a visa appointment in the EU.

Hi- I am struggling to get my DL renewed .SAVE verification was sent to USCIS last week but surprisingly my L2 and L2 EAD reflects "approved" today . USCIS takes each case differently so keep holding up!
Time lines of my case:
L1 extension ,L2 extension and L2EAD filed on 30Mar2021 in premium processing at Texas Sevice Center . Got RFE and finally L1 extension approved in last week of July2021.
I was denied my DL on the receipt notice earlier in May ,tried again based on my L1 approval last week . I didn't get my DL yet but my L2 is approved and EAD status reflects as -new card is being produced .

Just had both approved at the same time.

Receipt date - December 15 2020
Biometrics date - May 6 2021
L2 and EAD Approval - August 27 2021

The lawyer is sending me the paperwork. They made a mistake on my visa date, so currently my visa is valid as of December 31 this year, and my EAD is valid as of August 27. The lawyer is fixing it...

Hi All,

Finally, We got the extension for dependents and RFE on EAD

Receipt date - 13 June 2020
Biometrics date - No Biometrics required (new rule as applied post may)
L2 Approval - December 21 2021

RFE is to provide 2 Photos for the EAD applicant.

Overall it took little over 6 months. Will be sending photos and then hopefully they will approve the EAD quickly.

Question - I have received two copies of 797A for each applicant and two copies of RFE for EAD, is this normal?
