Change of Status from B2 to L2

Hi everyone! I am working on L-1B visa in New York and got court-married during my recent visit to India. My wife is a B2 visa holder and is currently living in India. She will come down to live with my towards the end of 2021. I am trying find the best way to get her L2 visa stamped.

Is there a provisioning to change her status from B2 to L2 while she is in India, or do we need to file a new application altogether for an L2 visa for her in India?

You’ll need to file a new application for L2 visa for her.
