L1 Individual stamping

Hi all,
I had my L1 Blanket rejected in May and was asked to apply under a different category. My application for L1 individual was processed and it was approved by USCIS.

I had put in my USCIS Approval notice along with my passport into the VFS dropbox in chennai and it has been three weeks and I am yet to recieve the passport from the consulate. does this take this much time and is there any way we can mail or call the consulate to check my visa status.

can someone please comment on this.

It takes some time that nobody can predict.
Send e-mail to consulate. get E-mail id from consulate website.

Sent mail to VFS, got reply

I sent mail to VFS and got a reply after sometime that i would get my passport by Next week tuesday.

I was asked to come under diff category, they dint tell any specific category but my company applied for L1 Individual and USCIS approved it.
