Can I hold L2 and B2 simultaneously

I have a 10 year B2 tourist visa. I am planning to apply for L2 based on my wife's L1. If I get that, will my B2 be automatically cancelled. I would like to get my L2 (which I dont think will be for more than a couple of years) and after which I might travel to US on my B2.

Most likely your B2 will not be cancelled when they stamp your L2. However, it depends on the VO. Sometimes the VO might decide to cancel the B2 to let you have only one valid visa at a time.
