Old petition number in L2 visa

Hello! The company my husband works in was acquired by another company, so he had to apply for new L1 visa with new petition filed by his new company. Corporate lawyers told us there's no need to update my L2 visa. We're planning to visit our home country soon and I'm worried they won't let me back in US, since I have old petition number and company name in my visa and he has new visa with different petition number. I'll be traveling together with my husband. Will I have problems at the border?

L2 visas are not tagged with any company, it is tagged to the primary L1 holder, as long as your spose is maintaining L1 status, your L2 visa will be valid.
