Impact of, L2 Change of Status to L1, to GC processing

Hi,

I am applying for an L2 visa as a dependent for my husbands L1A visa. Once we are in the USA, my employer is suggesting to apply for L1B for me.
Once my change of status to L1B is complete, how will it impact the Green Card being processed for my husband (EB1C) and me as a dependent.

Also, for L2 to L1B move, is it preferred to be in USA or your home country to get the stamping / change of status, which one is faster.

Why L1B?
L1B can't change employer.

L visas & GC are 2 separate process & can run in parallel. Switching between different non-immigrant visas does not impact your GC process (till you are maintaining your status in USA).
