is there a way to stay for a month beyond L1B maxout

my L1B maxout is in mid of June so I have to travel back to India. Looking to the situation in India these days, is there a way to postpone the travel date by a month or two ? We have a 3 month old baby, so just want to avoid travel during this peak covid situation in India. Did anyone have any idea on this?
I know L1B can't be extended beyond the maxout date. Thanks in advance.

HI I Guess u can apply for B1/B2 Visa, do a 539 - change of status, u can stay in the US, cannot work - this will give you time, not incur unlawful stay. Check with your employer as the insurance and other logistics needs to be worked out before you choose this Option.Good luck.

one of my friend's visa extension was rejected, he still stayed for 2 more months as there were no flights to India.
So there might be something which your attorney can do, talk to them.
