  • USCIS Issues Policy Guidance on Deference to Previous Decisions

    Hi all,

I did not see this was shared here (excuse me if it was).

But earlier this week USCIS issued a policy change reverting President Trump's change dating back in 2017. Long story short, this is great news for people waiting decision on their extensions!

I had sent my RFE response (with premium processing) on my L-1A new office extension and coincidentally this policy was announced the same day. I would expect USCIS take their time making a decision as my documentation was substantial. But they approved my case 2 days after. I think this policy did speed things up for USCIS the officer.

I think this is also great news for everyone waiting to hear from USCIS nowadays as this policy will reduce the USCIS overhead and time being spent on extension cases. We should start seeing waiting times being reduced in all cases soon!
