L1-B to L2 visa along with EAD

Hi all,

my spouse is currently on L1-B from her employer, her assignment is ending in aug’21. I am on L1-A visa from other organisation and planning to file her L2 dependent visa with change of status date in aug’21.

question- while applying for L2, can I apply for EAD application as well? Or EAD can only be applied once her status changes to L2 or her L2 visa stamped?

Hi,
Yes. You can apply both the petitions parallelly. But, First they will adjudicate L2 then EAD will be processed. If you plan to get L2 visa from consulate, upon return you can file EAD petition.
