L1 Individual Pending from 8 months

Hi,

I had put my L1 Individual petition in Jan 2010 and from that time I am waiting for the response from USCIS.

Is there any time limit in which they have to reply?

I am really frustrated from this wait.

Please suggest what I can do other then wait.

Normal processing time is 2-3 months. Probably there was an RFE which is not responded properly or responded late by your employer which is taking more time to process your application. If that wasn't the case, then ask your company attorney to take an infopass appointment with USCIS to discuss your case since it's been almost 8 months since the petition is filed.

Hi,

Yes there is an RFE in the last week of February for which we responded back on 17th March. So as per there instructions they will revert back in 60 Days. But even after 60 days they not replied back so we call the customer care and they told to wait for 45 more days. And after 45 days when they again also not replied so we gain call and they told to wait for 30 more days.
30 days are now over and we are still waiting for the reply.

I am confused that whether my name or some other information matched with some unwanted information or what for which they are taking so much time.

The best option is to ask your attorney to take an infopass appointment and meet the USCIS officials. You can also expedite the process by converting it to premium which will get you a result in 15 days. Alternatively, you can ask your employer to file H1B.
