Visa interview date slots

I have a doubt regarding obtaining visa interview dates :

I am applying for an L1 visa aiming to travel US in September end by all means.
Due to some other conflicting travel, I only have a span of 2-3 days to get an interview date, but fortunately its well ahead in future (23rd or 24th Sept).

While checking for free slots in the VFS site, I can see the green slots are only immediately 1st and the 3rd week from today. Can someone help me interpret what this means ? Are all dates in September fourth week (20th to 24th) and fifth week already filled up or not yet released for choosing ? what about the Sept 2nd week dates ?

If it's because those dates are not released, when do they release the dates ?
Any info would be of help.

They are only opening the dates 2-3 weeks in advance. Looks like the 4th and 5th week is not opened yet. If you want to confirm, call VFS help desk.

Hi OP,

as you have mentioned that you need to travel to US by Sept end by all means.

Then i would suggest you to take atleast third week Sept dates which are open as this would give you time for your processing/passport return etc.

But if you are looking only for 4th/5th week dates--- then as suggested by shervin -may be they are not opened yet/so keep on looking/checking for it.
